Suki Schorer

Former principal dancer with New York City Ballet, Suki Schorer began teaching at George Balanchine’s request and has been an integral part of the School of American Ballet faculty since her permanent appointment in 1972.

She is the author of numerous works on Balanchine’s technique and legacy, including Suki Schorer on Balanchine Technique and Balanchine Pointework, and is the recipient of the 1998 Dance Magazine Award, among other honors.
