Summer Intensive Ballet Classes - Dance Conservatory of Charleston

DCC ADVANCED SUMMER INTENSIVE

Current Level 3B/4A/4B/5/PP | Ages 11+ with Instructor Approval

Take your technique to the next level with our Summer intensive! Open to advanced dancers ages 11+ with approval (Current 3B/4A/4B/5/PrePro), this program includes classes (when applicable) in ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop, Pilates, pas de deux, repertoire, and composition. Daily classes are led by our own renowned DCC faculty and Master Guest instructors to be announced soon!

We are excited to partner with The College of Charleston for Session 2 the week of 6/16-6/20 to present Intensive classes on campus in addition to DCC studios! Intensive start & end times may vary slightly for dancers scheduled for classes at the CofC studios, and Room & Board on the CofC Campus is available for Session 2 for students ages 13+; see below for details.

Recommended Enrollment: Attending at least 3-4 sessions required for advanced level placement consideration; Advanced Level dancers are encouraged to attend 4-6 weeks of Intensive training total throughout the summer in addition to Open Classes

Weekdays 9:30am-2:30pm

Session 1 6/9-6/13 | Tuition $400 / 1 Session

Session 2 6/16-6/20 | Tuition $750 / 2 Sessions

Session 3 7/07-7/11 | Tuition $1,050 / 3 Sessions

Session 4 7/14-7/18 | Tuition $1,300 / 4 Sessions

Registration opens 2/12/25 —spots are limited so don’t wait!

Tuition due in full at time of registration if registering for one or two sessions of the Advanced Intensive.

If registering for three or four sessions - $750 due at the time of registration and remaining balance due on or before May 15.

Session 2 Room & Board at College of Charleston

Room & Board is available on the CofC Campus for students ages 13+. Move-in opens Sunday afternoon, 6/15 and move-out is Friday afternoon, 6/20. The meal plan begins with dinner Sunday evening and includes three meals per day through lunch on Friday.

Total room & board cost based on room occupancy preference is as follows:
Single Room & Board | $700
Double Room & Board | $650

Additional Open Classes

Open classes will be held from the end of Spring Semester 2025 to the beginning of Fall Semester 2025, excluding weeks of the Advanced Intensive.

Open ballet classes will be 2-3 times per week from 4:30-6:00pm, in addition to a limited schedule of jazz, tap, and hip hop open classes.

These classes are drop-in with a rate of $15/class and intended as a supplement to the Advanced Intensive.
