Allison Walsh

Allison Walsh is making her first foray into the musical theater world as Dance Captain for An American in Paris.

Originally from Bethesda, Maryland, Allison embarked on her path as a professional dancer while training with the Maryland Youth Ballet. She later attended the School of American Ballet’s summer workshops on full scholarship. Allison spent a year dancing with the Washington Ballet Studio Company and American Ballet Theater before joining The Joffrey Ballet in Chicago.

During her 7-year tenure at the Joffrey, Allison performed leading roles in The Rite of Spring, Twyla Tharp’s Waterbaby Bagatelles, Lar Lubovitch’s Othello, Yuri Possokhov’s Bells,Tarentella, Dark Elegies, and Les Presages, among others. She’s originated roles in the world premieres of Edwaard Liang’s Age of Innocence, and Jessica Lang’s Crossed. She’s also appeared as a featured dancer in Starz’s Flesh and Bone.
