Abigail Simon

Native New Yorker Abigail Simon trained at the School of American Ballet, where she earned a full scholarship. She danced professionally with American Ballet Theatre and The Joffrey Ballet before venturing into Musical Theater and Film. Notable roles include Broadway’s An American in Paris in Paris and Louise in Rob Ashford’s Carousel. She was handpicked by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Gillian Lynne to appear as Victoria, the White Cat, in celebration of Cats passing the torch to Phantom of the Opera as Broadway’s longest-running show.

Abigail excelled in various ballet productions, collaborating with renowned choreographers like Benjamin Millepied, Christopher Wheeldon, and Wayne McGregor. Her ballet repertoire includes principal roles in productions such as Wheeldon’s After the Rain, McGregor’s Infra, and the Diamond Pas de Deux in Rudolf Nureyev’s Sleeping Beauty. She has created multiple works with leading choreographers and served as a master teacher for The Joffrey Ballet and Alvin Ailey.

In 2025, Abigail made her triumphant return to the stage following breast cancer treatment, performing Carousel at the Dance Against Cancer benefit. The event raised $4.5 million for cancer research and marked a powerful milestone in her journey as both an artist and survivor.

In addition to performing, Abigail’s contributions to film include casting and serving as the associate choreographer for Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore 2. She specializes in body doubles and choreographing for camera, continuing to expand her expertise behind the scenes.
